ABOUT LOUS GROUP

LOU'S GROUP is a local Ugandan company founded by the Chinese businessman Mr. Lou Xiaoming.It is comprised of large-scale paper making, sales, import and export trade, warehousing and logistics, industrial and civil construction, hotel apartment management, high-end travel, security Services and other comprehensive group companies. The current total asset investment is about 150 million US dollars. GLOBAL PAPER PRODUCTS (U) LTD is the largest tissue producer in East Africa, production of the toilet paper brand LUXURY / SOFT & CLEAN series and other products altogether in Uganda have a market share of about 75%, and are highly praised by Ugandan consumers. Products are also exported to neighboring countries and regions to acquire more customers through production of high quality products and to speed up the expansion of paper market share in East Africa. Lou's business group is people-oriented, with high business integrity and open to negotiate and cooperate with businesses from all circles.

Global Paper

Global Paper (East Africa) Co. Ltd. was founded in 1999 with a capital investment of 4.8 million U.S. dollars. It is the only large-scale papermaking enterprise in East Africa that takes the lead in using environmentally friendly and energy-saving waste paper recycling process. Since its approval by UNBS in year 2000, it has achieved the Uganda national quality inspection standards yearly and is one of the first companies to use the UNBS certification mark. In May 2010 the company passed ISO9001: 2008 international quality management system. The corporate goal is "to produce high quality, low cost products that meet the national and international standards and to provide the best and safest products and services."

The total assets are 80 million US dollars, with an annual output of 50,000 tons of toilet paper, 50,000 tons of Kraft paper and core materials.

Horizon & Resort

GPS Security

GPS Security Company was set up in 2003. The company trains every security officer based on military standards and currently has more than 400 highly trained security personnel. The management of security teams is based on military standards; they are equipped with excellent weapons, professional transport means and radio communications equipment. The Security Company is mainly responsible for all enterprise units of LOU’S GROUP, cash transportation, bodyguard services, road access services, protection of business personnel, property safety and maintains order of the production process and operation of all units. The security company also offers security lease services for all contract companies, ensures a comfortable and productive working environment for the enterprise and has become the enterprise’ patron saint.

PIONEER CONSTRUCTION

Uganda Pioneer Construction Co. Ltd. is a Ugandan local construction company established on the basis of China's 23rd Ugandan engineering company. The company successfully constructed the project of Entebbe presidential palace in Uganda, the project of quality chemical factory in Uganda, the project of Entebbe hotel in Uganda, the project of Uganda's global paper industry park, the western Uganda school project (China's political and legal fund), Kaluma Hydropower Station in Uganda, 812 Commonwealth office buildings and all temporary ground construction projects. The company now has various types of engineering and technical personnel more than 100 people; it involves industrial, civil construction and decoration businesses. The company is in a leading position in Uganda in the manufacture and installation of steel structures, complete sets of paper making equipment and installation of sewage treatment equipment. It has a good reputation and a wide range of partners in Uganda. The company has also registered success in highway construction and transmission line construction projects.
